My paintings deal with spiritual questions. They look for that exact moment between life of earth and life in heaven. The work explores themes of the unknown and the imagining of something unimaginable. I often likes to describe her paintings as ascending to the highest peak on a roller coaster. The rider has just experienced the climb: the struggle, the anticipation, the work: and they are seconds before plunging into the unknown.
My narrative paintings deal with the human obsession of capturing their history or making a mark. They deal with the need to tell one's own story and not be forgotten. I'm inspired by cave paintings and enjoy using universal symbols to portray universal thoughts that upon their configuration become individual.
This series deals with the children's desire to explore and discover secretes in nature that they hold onto as treasures.
